DESCRIPTION:Vancouver Workshop series features monthly workshops by visiting instructors. One weekend of each month there will be a 2 hr public workshop and a 2 hr intensive group offered\, rotating genres monthly. We will try to line up workshop weekends with monthly socials so it’ll almost feel like a weekender\, but much more relaxed!\n\nOur first artist for the series\, when we launch the program in September will be Tboy Peleve\, based in Atlanta and blessing us with Kizomba/Semba focused knowledge.\n\n\n\n Saturday\, September 26\, 2026\n 3-5pm Public Workshops (All-levels)\n1000 Rivers\, Vancouver\n Tickets: $55 via E-transfer to admin@collectiveevents.ca\nE-transfer Question: Which event?\nAnswer: WorkshopSeries\n** Please write your full name & whether you’ll be leading or following in the description box\n\n\n Evening Party (ticket purchased seperately – TBA) \n\n\n\n—–\nSundayAdd-on option! Intensive Training – Cost: $65The private intensive will consist of a group with maximum 5 leads & 5 follows for more focused learning. The intensive will last 2 hrs and aims to get deeper into workshop topics & variations\, pushing your level. We will be work at an intermediate level – so this portion is not intended as a beginner bootcamp.\n\nAm I ready for the intensive?We ask that you self evaluate\, but here are some guidelines to help you! Bringing together styles hailing from different members of the African diaspora\, bringing together people from all over\, and learning\, growing and vibing together. \n❓ New to Kizomba or Afro \nThere will be beginner Kizomba/Semba workshops to share the base with you before the level-ed up workshops! And we’ll have experts bringing the vibes and taking care of you every step of the way for the other dance styles to be announced. ❤
